Music, Songwriting & Production
In 2009, Chantel founded Chantel Hampton Music, Inc. and launched her career as a freelance vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist. That same year she released her debut album Contagious, winning VH1’s songwriting competition twice for the title track.
She went on to write and produce for Rahni Song’s Billboard-charting album Breakin’ the Rules, while her single “Star of the Story” became the third most requested song on Adult Contemporary Radio.

In 2013, Chantel joined Berklee College of Music as an Assistant Professor, training more than 2,000 aspiring musicians in show development, songwriting, music business, and professional development. She later served as Course Director for the Music Business Bachelor’s Program at Full Sail University, leading curriculum development, faculty, and student success initiatives.
She has led international faculty teams and presented masterclasses across the globe, including at Furtados Music School in Mumbai, SJA Music Institute and the CJ Foundation (Samsung) in Seoul, Conservatorio de Artes del Caribe in Puerto Rico, and Harlem’s Apollo Theater Education Program.
Education & Mentorship
In 2017, Chantel earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with concentrations in Politics & Advocacy from NYU’s Steinhardt School. After years in higher education, she stepped away from academia to devote her full attention to building the next generation of creative leaders.
She is the President of S.T.A.N.D., Inc. (So The Arts Never Die), a nonprofit organization founded by her parents and dedicated to transforming lives through arts education, leadership development, and mentorship. Through S.T.A.N.D., she established Arts Embassy Academy, the Arts Embassy Leadership Academy, and the Creative Arts Summer Intensive (CASI) — equipping young artists, entrepreneurs, and leaders with the skills to build meaningful careers and create lasting impact within their communities.
